November has been a busy month.
I am showing work in three shows this month here in Houston.
The first show opened at 1 Allen Center on November 6th. It is the 27th juried members show for the Houston Visual Arts Alliance, juried by Clint Willour, who is the director of the Galveston Art Center.
I am also in a group show at the Williams Tower Gallery titled, SERIOUS PLAY organized by Sally Sprout, the gallery director. This show opens on November 19th, and runs through December 31st. The opening will be November 19th , from 6 to 8 pm.
This year is the 17th annual Art Crawl Houston, which I will also be participating in. I have a studio now at the Hardy street-Nance Street Studios in the warehouse district. I am sharing space with photographer, Galina Kurlat in studio # 9. We will be showing work in our studio on November, 21st from 10am to 9pm.
I am presently working on a series of photographs taken in Bangladesh last February. These are being printed using the gum bichromate process, a process developed in the 1850s. However, I am combining this process with digital technology, using digital negatives and photoshop. I hope to have some good prints ready for Fotofest, which is coming up in March. Hardy and Nance Street Studios will be an official site for Fotofest this year.
